truth be told i'm not exactly sure if i'm writing this for my fellow kos'ers or for myself,either way i hope this can be of some comfort:)
there is no doubt that 2012 was an awesome year for us! if there was ever any proof that not only do we have a voice, we have strength. Obama/Biden were reelected,Tammy Baldwin is in the senate, Anti-woman's reproductive health activists were dealt heavy blows. not only did Elisabeth Warren beat Scott Brown but she is also now on the senate finance committee! We have increased our senate majority. While we didn't retake the house, democrats got more votes(yes we've all seen the gerrymander stories) and we got rid of a fair number of bat crap crazies like Joe Walsh,Allen West and Jean Schmidt. Marriage equality passed in 3 states and several new states have openly gay speakers of the house. With how much we have accomplished it can be very easy to get frustrated with some of these apparent setbacks, we must remember that this is a relay, not a sprint and that it is ok to recharge for a few days.
